Overhead Conductor / OPGW Creep Testing Machine

UNIVER PULL-A Series Overhead Conductor / OPGW Creep testing machine is designed to perform creep test on overhead conductors and OPGW cables in accordance to IEC 61395.

The purpose of test is to verify the long-term creep of overhead conductor or OPGW when holding a fixed tension. Creep results in further sagging after installation.

Features:

  • The machine is designed with electromechancal loading system which enables constant and smooth loading to apply tensile force to  the specified test load, typically 20% RTS.
  • Multiple test stations are available to have several tests be running simultaneously
  • 0.5μm resoluton extensometers offer stepless adjustable extensometer gauge lengthes to meet different applications
  • Every station with independent control system and data logging software ensures the highest reliability for long time running, particulary for creep test lasts 1000 hours (42 days)
  • UNIVER Patented alloy socket method for terminal preparation on overhead conductors is a recycleable and efficient way, one terminal preparation typically takes less than 30 minutes which has much higher efficiency than conventional expoxy resin method which normally takes at least a whole day to cure, besides, the expoxy resin is one-time usage and costly.
