Optical Cable Abrasion Testing Machine

UNIVER CCA-1000 Series Optical Cable Abrasion Testing Machine is specifically designed to evaluate the resistance of optical fiber cable sheaths and surface markings to abrasion.

During testing, a cable specimen approximately 750 mm in length is securely mounted onto the supporting plate using cable clamps. The abrading edge is loaded with the specified mass to apply the required force as defined in the relevant test standard, ensuring the load is applied smoothly without shock to the cable.

  • Abrasion of Markings (E2B – Method 1):
    Stroke: 40 mm | Abrading Head: Steel needle, 4 N load
  • Abrasion of Markings (E2B – Method 2):
    Stroke: 100 mm | Abrading Head: Wool felt, 5 N load
