UNIVER TCC-1000 / TCC-2000 Series Temperature Cycling Chamber
UNIVER TCC-1000 and TCC-2000 Series Temperature Cycling Chambers are specially designed to perform temperature cycling tests on optical fiber cables, evaluating the stability of optical attenuation under varying temperature conditions.
These chambers feature a large-capacity test space, precise temperature control, and minimal temperature fluctuation, ensuring accurate and repeatable testing results. Changes in cable attenuation during thermal cycling are typically caused by fiber buckling or tensioning due to differences in thermal expansion coefficients between fibers, strength members, and jacketing materials.
The chambers can simulate the full range of environmental conditions encountered during storage, transportation, and field operation, or a wider range for extended reliability verification.
By adding cable suspension brackets and non-hygroscopic collection containers, the same chamber can also be used to perform compound flow (drip) tests in accordance with IEC 60794-1-21 E14 / FOTP-81 / ASTM D4565. An analytical balance can be incorporated to measure the mass of filling or flooding compound that drips from each specimen during testing.
